VIRTUALIZATION CONSULTANT
Responsibilities
As part of our growing Professional Services Team, you will be responsible for pre-sales solution design as well as post sales consulting and implementation of data management and system solutions for Daymark clients. You will be involved in all aspects of the solution sale and implementation including; customer presentations, seminars, project plan development, implementation methodology, hardware integration, software installation and customization, solution documentation, client training and knowledge transfer.
Additional responsibilities include leading strategic initiatives within the organization, and acting as primary interface with key partners to help develop new product offerings. Candidate will be required to maintain product and vendor certifications and must be willing to travel within the New England region.
Requirements:
- Two to four years experience in Data Protection and/or Virtualization Solutions design and deployment
- Significant virtualization experience including hands-on implementation of VMware solutions including server and/or desktop virtualization, SRM, HA, Lab Manager deployments
- Recent experience with networked storage implementations and/or one or more of the following storage platforms: NetApp Filers or Vseries, EMC Clariion/Celerra/VNX, IBM.
- Experience with two or more of the following operating systems including clustering implementations: Windows, IBM AIX, Solaris, SUSE or RedHat ES/AS.
- Recent experience and/or certifications with one or more of the following backup applications including Symantec NetBackup, IBM TSM, EMC Networker
- Administrative experience with one or more of the following applications: MS Exchange, Oracle, MS SQL, Lotus, SAP, Peoplesoft
- Storage management software certification or Project Management certification a plus.
