Microsoft CMMC/GCC High Account Representative

Sales| Burlington, MA

In this role you will help Defense Industrial Base (DIB) contractors move faster and safer by adopting Microsoft 365 GCC High and AzureGov solutions (U.S. Government Cloud) and building a practical path to CMMC 2.0 (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) / NIST 800-171 readiness. You will start by working side-by-side with a Senior Account Manager to learn Daymark’s go-to-market approach—supporting existing customers using Microsoft US Government Cloud and building practical paths toward CMMC 2.0 / NIST 800-171 readiness. In parallel, you’ll actively support the new opportunity sales motion (discovery, qualification, solution positioning, proposal/SOW support, and transition), giving you fast exposure to DIB industry dynamics, compliance requirements, and Daymark’s consultative sales approach.

This is a consultative sales role where you’ll lead discovery, translate security/compliance pressure into clear outcomes, and guide customers from “we’re not sure where to start” to a scoped plan and signed agreement. You’ll sell professional services (readiness, migrations, security hardening) and Microsoft subscription licensing that keep customers secure and audit-ready over time. You’ll partner closely with a Daymark Senior Account Executive and technical SMEs to run impactful meetings, position solutions, and create confidence in the Daymark approach. This role is ideal for an individual with 1–2-years IT software/services sales experience who desires to be part of a team focused on solutions solving a critical market need and provides a path to becoming a Daymark Account Executive.

Responsibilities:

    • Serve as a first point of contact for inbound customer inquiries, providing timely, accurate support on CMMC-related licensing, renewals/expansions, and general sales assistance to ensure a positive customer experience
    • Build pipeline through consistent outbound prospecting (calls, email, LinkedIn), targeting DIB and regulated organizations with a clear ideal customer profile and messaging.
    • Qualify inbound and outbound leads, run discovery calls, and document customer needs, timelines, and buying process (including security/compliance drivers).
    • Lead the sales cycle end-to-end: first call → discovery → solution positioning → proposal/SOW support → close → handoff.
    • Position Microsoft 365 GCC High/AzureGov and related Azure Government capabilities—why it matters, what it changes, and how to adopt it safely.
    • Sell consulting services including GCC High readiness/migrations, licensing guidance, security hardening, and compliance readiness (CMMC 2.0 / NIST 800-171 / DFARS).
    • Coordinate solution demos and technical deep dives with internal SMEs; ensure the customer leaves with clarity and next steps.
    • Support proposals and SOW development: gather requirements, align scope, validate assumptions, and keep momentum through approval cycles.
    • Maintain accurate CRM hygiene: stages, close dates, next steps, notes, and activity tracking; provide reliable weekly forecasting.
    • Hit activity and pipeline targets (outbound volume, meetings, qualified opportunities, and pipeline coverage) and continuously improve conversion rates.
    • Partner with Daymark Marketing on campaigns, webinars, leads and events in the DIB ecosystem; follow up quickly and turn interest into meetings.
    • Collaborate with delivery/engineering for scoping, timeline alignment, and clean handoffs that set customers up for successful implementation.

Required Qualifications:

    • 1–2 years of sales experience selling in the IT software and services space (inside sales, SDR → AE, junior AE, or similar).
    • Very comfortable and competent with outbound prospecting and building pipeline (phone, email, LinkedIn)..
    • Strong discovery skills: can ask good questions, listen, summarize, and connect needs to outcomes.
    • Organized and coachable: follows a process, keeps CRM updated, and learns quickly with feedback.
    • Clear communicator who can explain technical concepts at a business level without hiding behind jargon.
    • Able to work cross-functionally with technical teams to move opportunities forward

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Exposure to DIB, government contractors, or regulated industries (a plus, not required).
    • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 or cloud services sales motions (licensing + pro services + managed services).
    • Interest in cybersecurity and compliance; willingness to learn frameworks like CMMC 2.0, NIST 800-171, and DFARS.
    • Experience selling consultatively to owners/presidents, CIOs/IT Managers, and security/compliance leaders.
    • Experience working opportunities that include services scoping, statements of work, and multi-stakeholder buying process
